Dr. Lignesh Durai is an accomplished Assistant Professor and MURTI Faculty Fellow at the Department of Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, GITAM School of Technology, Bengaluru. With over seven years of extensive research experience, he specializes in the multidisciplinary fields of Nanotechnology, Biosensors, Fuel Cells, and Energy Applications, including Sodium-Ion Batteries. His academic and professional journey is marked by a deep commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering student learning through innovative research-based education.
Dr. Durai earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, where his groundbreaking dissertation explored scalable synthesis techniques for perovskite nanomaterials and their applications in electrochemical sensors and biosensors. With over 49+ publications, including high-impact research articles, review papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings, Dr. Durai is a recognized authority in his field. His work has significantly contributed to advancements in multi-ion sensing, non-enzymatic detection mechanisms, and materials for biomedical and environmental applications.
An enthusiastic educator, Dr. Durai leverages his research insights to deliver enriched, research-oriented teaching experiences. As the Principal Investigator at Indium Laboratory and Founder of Qualattice Chemitronics and Alchemiera Bioelectronics, he continues to drive innovation at the interface of technology and real-world applications.
